Contactless fundraising for churches and religious organisations

Churches can use contactless card donation machines to raise much needed funds at services, funerals, weddings, christenings and other community events. Dona’s free donation webpages also provide churches with a seamless way to collect donations online.

With fewer people carrying cash, it’s important that churches and other religious organisations have a Digital Collection Plate option in place to give their congregation and visitors an easy way to donate.

For many faiths, the act of giving – whether that be money, time, energy or resources –  is an act of faith in response to God’s grace.

The best place to position card donation machines in your church

Most churches benefit from donation machines being placed at entrances and exits, so that visitors and members of the congregation can give generously as they enter and leave the building.

Placing additional machines near votive candles, a shop, font, artefacts of special interest or tailored displays highlighting church fundraising initiatives can also inspire visitors to give generously.

Additionally, with Dona terminals being self-service and portable, digital collection plates can be handed around during or after the service to enable contactless donations alongside the traditional cash offertory.

An added benefit is that churches are able to customise their donation machines to highlight up to 20 different campaigns for the donor to choose from, inspiring engagement with church fundraising goals and ensuring donors know where their gift is going.
